FUJIMI 1/350 Ship NEXT Series No.2 EX-2 Japanese Navy Destroyer Shimakaze Special specification when completed (crew and photo-etched parts included) )is. Introducing a deluxe version that comes with photo-etched parts and injection parts for the crew! Destroyer Shimakaze is the fastest destroyer in the Japanese Navy, and the only ship without a ship of the same type. Planned in 1945, construction was completed in May 1945, in the middle of the war. It is a large destroyer with a total length of over 120 meters and a displacement of 2500 tons. Equipped with three 12.7 cm twin guns and three 61 cm five torpedo tubes, it was equipped with excellent attack and attack equipment. She was active mainly in the central Pacific Ocean, including the Kisuka Island evacuation operation in July 1945, participated in the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944, and was killed in action by a U.S. aircraft during the Ormoc transport operation the following month. The gray color consists of a total of 6 parts colors, including a slightly lighter gray imitating the Maizuru Arsenal color, linoleum color, and ship bottom color. The hull is divided into left and right parts. Specification for boss press-fitting. Even the parts that cannot be reproduced in 1/700 scale, including the thickness of the overboard cable presses and steel plates, and the portholes and eaves, are expressed. The bottom of the ship is molded in one piece. The surface texture reproduces the thickness and overlap of steel plates, giving a sense of precision. The water supply and drainage ports on the bottom, the listening device, and the rivets on the keel are recreated with delicate carvings. The main gun uses a slide mold to create a one-piece structure with molding all around the turret. The gun barrel has a structure that allows it to be raised and raised one gun at a time even after assembly, and the muzzle is expressed in an open shape using a slide mold. Even the bottom, which becomes invisible after assembly, has been carefully recreated down to the smallest detail, including the modeling of the reinforcing girders. The 5-tube torpedo tube, which is a characteristic of Shimakaze, is precisely reproduced with 3 parts: cover, torpedo tube, and torpedo. After assembly, it can be oriented and rotated left and right. The bridge is a one-piece molded part, while the entire side wall is shaped and sculpted using a slide mold. The Type 94 direction board on the top of the bridge can be rotated even after assembly, allowing it to be aligned with the main gun. Clear molded special parts are available for the bridge window. The shelter part at the base of the mast is also an integrally molded part using a slide mold, just like the bridge. The mast is a two-piece structure with front legs and two rear legs, and the lookout tower and No. 22 electric probe are also precisely reproduced. The chimney is made by pasting the left and right sides together, and the funnel cap is mesh-like and has been removed, giving it a realistic shape. The black paint on the funnel cap and top of the chimney is reproduced in advance by coloring the parts. The steam pipe and cooking chimney are made into separate parts from the engine chimney, giving them a three-dimensional shape. The linoleum parts of the front and rear upper decks are molded and colored parts in brown. The linoleum press is expressed with delicate carvings. The steel deck in the center of the upper deck reproduces the anti-slip (strip) pattern with detailed convex engravings. The base of the 2nd turret is made into an integrated part using a slide mold, and both the sides and top are engraved. At the stern of the ship, we have prepared special parts for the model at the time of construction, which was only equipped with depth charge projectors. Includes pre-cut stickers that express the coloring of the military flag and the inner surface of the cutter. Five photo-etched parts are included, including additional parts such as handrails and replacement parts for injection parts. The life buoy photo-etched parts are colored red and white. Type 93 61cm oxygen torpedo, 12.7cm gun barrel, and depth charges are prepared as metal parts. Two types of crew parts are included, one runner each, 70 pieces mainly in standing position, and 71 pieces mainly in working and shooting positions. The crew parts are molded in white considering the color development when painting. The molded parts are available in seven colors: Maizuru Arsenal color, ship bottom color, linoleum color, black, transparent color, gold, and white.
