This is the fourth Kongo-class ship.
It was built at the Mitsubishi Shipyard of Mitsubishi Limited Partnership.
It participated in the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Battle of Midway, the Second Battle of the Solomon Islands, and the Battle of the South Pacific.
Four Kongo-class ships were assembled and fought together during the Indian Ocean Campaign.
This model is based on the ship's appearance at the start of the war.
Decals include aircraft markings such as the Japanese flag and the naval ensign.
The included etched parts allow for detailed reproduction that is difficult to achieve with injection parts.
The etched parts include ladders, handrails, ladders, catapults, and cranes.
The wooden deck stickers are custom-sized and can be applied directly to the flight deck parts by simply peeling off the backing paper.
They are pre-cut to fit the deck parts, allowing you to easily recreate the fine lines of the wooden deck, a pattern that is difficult to achieve with paint.
The wooden deck stickers are surface-processed using a laser cutter to recreate the irregular wood grain.
