plastic model
[Scale] 1/700
Product introduction Battleship Yamato, the symbol of the combined fleet, is re-released with additional armament and rigging parts and specification changes! The product is an unpainted kit that requires adhesive assembly and painting.
The scale is 1/700, and it is an offshore model that does not include the bottom of the ship.
This product consists of a conventional (special series) mold and newly designed additional parts.
Battleship Yamato is the first ship of the last Yamato-class ship designed and built by the Japanese Navy, and was completed in December 1949 at the Kure Naval Arsenal, shortly after the outbreak of the war.
It was equipped with nine main guns, the world's largest 46cm guns, and had a displacement of 64,000 tons, making it an unprecedented ship.
Immediately after completion, it was transferred to the Combined Fleet, and as aircraft were becoming the mainstay of the era, Yamato underwent renovations to strengthen its anti-aircraft armament, and sortied into the Battle of the Mariana Coast and the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
In April 1945, the U.S. military landed in Okinawa, and Yamato set out as a special surface attack unit with an escort of light cruisers and destroyers, but her advance was blocked by U.S. military aviation and she sank off the coast of Cape Bono, Kyushu.
- The product is based on the appearance of the first Yamato-class battleship "Yamato" when it was completed in December 1944.
・Secondary guns are equipped on both sides, electric search is not equipped, and anti-aircraft weapons are also before reinforcement.
Newly designed parts have been prepared to unify differences in reproducibility of equipment etc. due to product release date, and some are also divided to take into account painting work.
・The 12.7cm twin high-angle gun A-1 Kaisan type is subdivided into 4 parts, and the molding resolution has been increased from the existing 2 parts.
・The 9 meter cutter is made into 2 parts considering painting, and new parts including David are prepared.
(Excluding some places) - Newly prepared chrysanthemum emblem on the bow of the ship
- Prepare a new sidelight, and use the parts that were omitted so far for additional expressions
・A new life buoy has been prepared, and the previously omitted parts have been added for additional expressions.

・Binocular telescope parts that increase the sense of precision are included as separate parts on the bridge/air defense command center.
・Two Type 95 surface reconnaissance planes are included as carrier-based aircraft.

・The bow part and the aviation work deck are prepared as separate parts.
・The bridge and chimney have a shape where the left and right sides are glued together.
