FUJIMI 1/350 Ship Model Series 13 EX-2 Japanese Navy Battleship Haruna Special Edition (Bridge). 350 Kansen 13EX2 Haruna Tokubetsu Released in May 2024
[Product Introduction]
FUJIMI 1/350 Ship Model Series 13 EX-2 Japanese Navy Battleship Haruna Special Edition (Bridge). The bridge of the battleship Haruna, which has a large air defense command center at the top of the bridge, is reproduced on a 1/350 scale! Battleship Haruna was built at the Kobe Kawasaki Shipyard as the third Kongo-class ship. It was renovated twice before the Pacific War, and during the war it played a wide range of roles, from direct protection of aircraft carrier task forces to bombardment of enemy territory. In October 1945, together with Kongo, she bombarded the airfield on Guadalcanal Island, accompanied the task force in the Battle of the Mariana Sea, and acted with Yamato and Musashi in the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944. After that, she returned to the mainland and moored off Etajima/Koyo-oki after the Kure Air Raid. In July, she was hit by a carrier-based aircraft during an air raid and landed on the bottom, leading to the end of the war. This product uses the mold of the existing 1/350 scale battleship Haruna. The product is modeled after the Shoichi-go operation in October 1944. The main parts of the bridge are molded in gray, imitating the color of the Sasebo Naval Arsenal. Clear molded parts are available for the bridge window and searchlight. A pedestal for display and a sticker displaying the ship's name are included. The range is reproduced from the top deck to the top No. 21 electric probe, and in the front to the second turret connected to the shelter deck. A style in which each level of the bridge is laminated and assembled by inserting the three-leg support and rear angle members. The wooden deck is expressed with delicate carvings on the shelter deck. The air supply and exhaust ports and machine gun ammunition box on the wooden deck are made into separate parts, reducing the need for separate painting. The 25mm machine guns arranged on all sides of the bridge are unique to 1/350, and the twin/triple guns are composed of four parts, and the elevation angle can be adjusted. The four windows on the compass bridge, lower lookout post, battle bridge, and observation post are reproduced with clear parts. Each floor is sculpted with grating and linoleum lining. Multiple rattals are prepared to connect each layer, and all are made into separate parts. The main gun and 4.5m rangefinder can be fixed at any angle. Binocular telescope parts are included to increase the sense of detail, such as a survey station and air defense command center. The angle of the rangefinder support structure on the back of the bridge has a detailed feel, with the light hole carved into it. A dazzle camouflage decal that was applied when moored offshore in 1945 is included. The molded parts come in three colors: gray (Sasebo Naval Arsenal color), transparent color, and black base parts. The number of parts is approximately 330.
