Debated between Sigma’s new 70-200 or Nikkor, went with the Sigma for the Value and Bokeh it produces. Great Lens, quick to snap into focus. Awesome Low light capability with the fixed 2.8 aperture. Sharp captures at all focal ranges. Only downside is the weight, but even so, the lens balances extremely well for hand held shooting and images stay sharp thanks to the OS stabilization. Ability to use the Sigma Dock to customize focus speed and focus range is a wonderful plus. I had no back focus issues with the lens.

Excellent all around portrait lens, needs tweaking with the sigma dock to have truly stellar auto focus. The eye af works well with the mc11 adapter on sony a7iii.

A much cheaper alternative to the Canon EF version and flexible to use with Sony adapter from Sigma (on a FF Sony A7ii for me).Better in daylight although depending on your camera and settings used, nightscapes are possible.

A bit lower price than Nikon and other than that I haven't noticed much difference between this lens and other zoom lens I have that are Nikon. The only suggestion I would offer the Sigma company is to add a handle on the lens case in addition to the shoulder strap.
