★★★★★ Tack sharp. Focuses SO fast. It's really amazing.
Date posted : Saturday, Oct 5 2019
This lens amazes me every time i use it. I won't get into the technical aspects, but every time i put this on my camera (Nikon D750) after using my Nikon lenses, i always have to double check once focus is locked. It happens SO FAST! Faster than any of my Nikon lenses. It's tack sharp, and so SO good for wide shots when i'm shooting weddings. If you're debating between the 24-70 and just this prime, go for the prime! You won't regret it!

★★★★★ Lives on my camera.

My favorite lense. Basically lives on my camera.Perfect for lifestyle photography or photographing in small spaces.I do suggest getting the sigma doc to collaborate the lense and help ot perform better over all.It does take a few seconds to auto focus. But I havent had it effect my work yet.I 100% recommend this lense!

★★★★★ I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS LENS
Date posted : Saturday, Sep 21 2019
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS LENS! However, my three star review does not go to the company that sent me the lens, they were 5 star amazing. The reason I give this three stars is because the lens was very soft when I got it. I feel like sigma being a very reputable company, should be able to have their lenses in focus and not soft. I had to order the USB doc and update it in order to have it be in focus. Once updated it was clear as any Canon L series I have or have used. But I feel its not cool to have to spend money on a lens and then spend extra money to update it because Sigma can't get its focus right when it comes to you out of the box.

★★★★★ If missing focus is your thing...
Date posted : Wednesday, Aug 21 2019
I don’t recommend this lens at all. Misses focus about 60% of the time. Took it into a local camera shop and paid $40 to have it calibrated, still doesn’t focus. Sent it into Sigma for repair and it still misses focus constantly. I’m giving 2 stars because when it does catch focus, the photos are beautiful, but the stress of missing important shots isn’t worth it. Learn from my mistake and go name brand!

★★★★★ Great Lens
Date posted : Saturday, Aug 10 2019
I used this with a Canon R and an adapter. It works great. I use it daily for Zoom meetings in addition to using it as the family camera. I did a great deal of research and made a few mistakes with other products before landing on this perfect combination (for my needs).

★★★★★ Great for astrophotography
Date posted : Wednesday, Jun 26 2019
My new favorite lens. Makes me think i should sell my 14mm sigma art. I like it better than the 14mm for astrophotography and landscape which is mainly what i shoot. The 24mm weighs less, uses standard 77mm filters, great sharpness almost all the way to the edge with little distortion, and has wider aperture. The 14mm takes a special 150mm filter plate adapter that is bulky AF!, has heavy distortion around the edges, and is almost twice the weight AND PRICE of the 24mm. The only negative for the 24mm is that it can have some heavy corner vignette especially when using 2 or more filters. The milky way picture was taken the night i got the lens right off my back deck!

★★★★★ Do you like extremely sharp lenses?
Date posted : Saturday, Jun 8 2019
This lens... It does not disappoint. My first Sigma Art lens was the 50 1.4 and I immediately fell in love with it. I can shoot entire engagement sessions and most of a wedding day with that thing. I have the Nikon 24-70 2.8 which I love dearly, but I wanted a sharper prime for my wide angle stuff. That lead me to the Sigma 24 1.4 Art. Easily one of my favorite lenses I've ever used. Perfect for lots of things, but I primarily use it on wedding days to get wide venue shots. I also use it for real estate photography. The sharpness of this lens is intimidating. When I still shot Canon I had the Canon 24 1.4L II, and I thought it was the sharpest slr lens on the planet, but this Sigma is as sharp or sharper. Pairing it with my D810 bodies gives me levels of detail you only see in higher end medium format cameras. If you're needing a good wide angle prime and you're picking between this and the Nikon or Canon equivalent, go for the Sigma unless you have to have weatherproofing.
