It’s not canon L glass, but the pictures ares good enough to frame for house pictures and family trips. And with the right lighting at f8 the pictures are acceptable. For the range it cover, this a good lens for beginners or if you just want to shoot jpgs and be done.

I bought this APS-C lens (for a Canon SL2) to adapt to a {anasonic Lumix G7 M43 camera using CommLite adapter. The G7 can manipulate the Tamron just like a native lens. amazing performance.

Auto focus does not work well when you zoom in to a subject. I shoot a lot if events fast movement. Lens are is no smooth, when manual on manual mode. Otherwise the lens has great features.

I absolutely love this lens. I was so tired of switching out lens and in the middle of switching them, losing the shot I wanted. I have used this lens for birding, wildlife, portraits and just about everything. The zoom is great as well. It focuses quite nicely. I have not tried it for basketball but will be doing that this next week. I also love it for macro. Will be traveling soon and am looking forward to that.
