This ultra-telephoto 3x zoom lens, when attached to a PENTAX K-mount digital SLR camera, provides an ultra-telephoto angle of view equivalent to a focal length of approximately 230-690mm in 35mm format. Its compact design allows for handheld shooting of long-distance subjects such as wild birds, airplanes, and sports, making it ideal for photographers seeking easy handling. Superior Image Performance: The latest lens design, incorporating three Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass elements and one Anomalous Dispersion glass element, effectively suppresses spherical and chromatic aberrations, resulting in high-contrast images with minimal color bleeding. Enhanced Image Performance: The lens features our proprietary, high-performance multi-layer HD Coating. Compared to conventional multi-layer coatings, it offers lower reflection and higher transmittance, reducing ghosting and flare even under challenging lighting conditions, such as backlighting, for clear, high-contrast images. Dust- and Weather-Resistant: The lens boasts an AW (All Weather) design with 21 sealing points to prevent water and dust from entering the lens. Four AF Buttons: The lens barrel features four AF buttons, positioned at 90-degree intervals, for stable AF operation while holding the lens securely, whether vertically or horizontally. The AF button can also be assigned to a "Focus Preset Mode" function, which memorizes and moves to a pre-registered focus position, or "AF Cancel," which forcibly locks the focus position during continuous AF.
