HASEGAWA 1/48 F/A-18F Super Hornet. The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is an advanced successor to the F/A-18C/D. A fuel tank was added to extend the cruising range. The fuselage has been extended by 86 cm, and fuel is also loaded into the vertical stabilizer. The weight increase associated with this was compensated for by an engine with increased thrust, and the intake port was also enlarged with the engine change. The angular parallelogram-shaped intake is one of the exterior features of this machine. The fuselage structure has been significantly changed, including the extension of the main wing and increased wing area in order to increase lift, but other than that, only some electronics and power systems have been updated, making it similar to the F/A-18C. It is intended to be common with /D. The kit features a suitably assembled parts structure and sharp panel line engravings. Accessories on the underside of the main wing include tank (x4), AIM-9X (x2), Amram (x2), and target pod.
