TAMIYA 1/24 Ford GT. T24346124 Hood GT Released in March 2019
[Product Introduction]
TAMIYA 1/24 Ford GT.
[A legendary car revived with cutting-edge technology]
The Ford GT is a legendary prototype racing car that won four consecutive Le Mans 24 Hours races from 1966 to 1969. Also known as GT40 due to its low vehicle height of 40 inches (1016 mm), the glorious naming that is essential when talking about Ford cars has been revived in 2015. The new Ford GT, which was born as a super sports car that brought together Ford's technological capabilities and was developed with the premise of racing participation, has a carbon monocoque main frame and a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo EcoBoost engine with a maximum output of 647 horsepower. The engine is mounted midship and uses a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. Coupled with the aerodynamic carbon body, it boasts a top speed of 347km/h. Furthermore, in 2016, which marks the 50th anniversary of the Le Mans victory, a machine modified for racing entered Le Mans and won its class.
[Model Information]
This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit. Total length 200mm, total width 94mm, total height 46mm. In addition to the low and wide overall form, the unique configuration such as the characteristic "buttress" that connects the roof and rear fender, the air tunnel on the door side, and the aerodynamic treatment on the underside of the vehicle body is modeled as it is on the actual vehicle. In order to reproduce all the openings, the latter half of the body parts are divided into panels almost exactly like the actual car. Inside, the passenger seat pad on the dashboard and the shoulder parts of the seats are brightly colored, with separate white parts. The wheels and oil tank are plated parts. The tires are made of textured soft resin. The unique aerodynamic form of the low and wide model is reproduced exactly as it is on the actual vehicle. Optional stripes (4 colors) are available as decals to evoke the image of the legendary Ford GT40. The headlights have a unique look and are divided into 8 parts for ease of painting and assembly. The wheels are plated parts. Highlights include the distinctive shape called the "buttress" that connects the roof and rear fender, and the air tunnel on the side of the door. Tail lights and brake lights are clear parts. The upper part of the 3.5 liter V6 twin turbo engine visible through the rear hatch is made into a part. The oil tank is a plated part. A distinctive double-layered under panel that exposes the lower arm of the front suspension. The rear diffuser consists of many splitters. The tires are made of soft resin with realistic tread patterns. A set of decals such as intake mesh, optional stripe (4 colors) decals, mask stickers for window frame painting, and inlet marks for mirror surfaces.
