◆High-power zoom When attached to a Pentax digital SLR camera, this 7.5x high-power zoom lens provides an angle of view equivalent to a focal length of 27.5mm wide-angle to 207mm telephoto in 35mm format. It is possible to cover a wide range of general photography, from landscapes, snapshots, portraits to sporting events. In addition, the latest optical design combines high magnification with a compact and lightweight design, making it easier to use and more mobile as a regular lens.

◆Simple drip-proof structure The lens uses a simple drip-proof structure that prevents water droplets from entering inside the lens. By combining it with a Pentax digital SLR camera that has a splash-proof construction, it improves durability and reliability in rainy weather, fog, and locations exposed to splashes.

◆Smooth autofocus with motor inside the lens A DC motor for autofocus (AF) is installed inside the lens, achieving smooth AF operation (*). Additionally, the lens uses a non-rotating mechanism that prevents the focus ring from rotating during AF, allowing the lens to be held in the same position as manual focus. *Compatible models are K-5, K-r, K-7, K-x, K-m, K20D, K200D, K100D Super, K10D (firmware Ver. 1.30 or later). When attached to other cameras, focusing will be done manually.
