[Product Introduction] Kato's N gauge model train, C11 190 Imperial train. ■This model replicates C11 190, the locomotive that pulled the Imperial train in Kumamoto Prefecture in October 1966.■It reproduces the glossy body and various decorations befitting an Imperial train locomotive, as well as the Kyushu-specific equipment such as the ventilation openings on the coal bunker side and the side tank stabilizers.■The number plates and rods are beautifully reproduced with green paint.■The cross-shaped handle on the smokebox door and the silver obstacle deflector on the front are reproduced.■The silencer at the rear of the chimney is reproduced as being shifted to the unofficial side rather than in the center.■The cab is reproduced as having angle material attached to the roof.■The rear taillight is recessed, and the ladder to the coal bunker is reproduced as being tapered at the top.■The front end is equipped with a dummy coupler, and the rear end with an Arnold coupler as standard.A replacement knuckle coupler and Arnold coupler and knuckle coupler for double-heading are included. *All are silver.■The headlights light up on both the front and rear ends (using warm white LEDs). [Set contents] [C11 190 Imperial Train (M)] [Introduction to the actual train] C11 190 was manufactured in 1940 and operated in various parts of Tohoku before being transferred to the Haiki locomotive depot in Kyushu. From 1950 until its decommissioning, it was stationed at the Kumamoto locomotive depot. In 1966, it was selected to pull the Imperial Train that ran during Emperor Showa's inspection of Kumamoto Prefecture after his attendance at the Oita National Sports Festival, and various decorations were added to it. After being decommissioned in 1974, it was preserved by a private individual, but in 2001 it was transferred to the Oigawa Railway, restored, and returned to operational service in 2003. [Prototype Preview] This is a prototype that was unveiled at the Kato dealer briefing. *As this is a prototype, there are differences from the final product, such as the lack of paint. *Selectable number plates, Japanese flag, and emblems must be attached by the user.
