I received this watch yesterday and I am very pleased. I own several G Shocks including the higher end GPS, Mudmaster and ProTrek models. This is a very good basic G-Shock watch that I believe most people would enjoy. The watch does not include extra features such as the Rangeman, ProTrek, Mudmaster, etc.(altitude, barometer, temperature, compass) but just your basic time, alarm, world time, stopwatch and timer. The watch also has the desired solar power and atomic timekeeping features. The buttons to make the adjustments are large and easy to push. This includes the illumination light button that can be adjusted to "tilt- auto light". The light feature itself is very bright and makes the watch easy to read in the dark. The size is just right for most G Shock owners...around 50mm. Not an "oversize" watch (54mm+) or on the smaller size (45mm). The strap uses 2 holes which I prefer over the 1 hole style. The watch is from Japan and I would assume the strap is carbon fiber but I am not sure as it does not say on the band. Overall, if you are looking for a basic G-Shock with no extra features that is a good comfortable size ...I believe this would be a good choice for you. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
