The 73EQ JR is a mono line input module in the 500 Series format. It shares not only the three-band EQ section but also the transformer-coupled line preamp and Class A transformer-balanced output stage with Heritage Audio's HA73 Series and 80 Series modules. This allows for classic transformer-based sound without relying on an external preamp. Features of the 500 Series Line Input Module: The 73EQ JR is a mono line input module in the 500 Series format. It shares not only the three-band EQ section but also the transformer-coupled line preamp and Class A transformer-balanced output stage with Heritage Audio's HA73 Series and 80 Series modules. This allows for classic transformer-based sound without relying on an external preamp. The EQ section features Baxandall-type high/low shelf filters. The high shelf frequency is not fixed at 12 kHz, but has four selectable frequencies (10, 12, 16, and 20 kHz). The dual-inductor-based midband offers a wide range of control, from thick lows to sweet highs. The line preamp section provides ample EQ boost, ranging from +6 to -20 dB. Like the 73JR II, the power specifications are also special, featuring an internal +24V regulator that takes approximately 20 seconds to reach maximum voltage.
