It was a hedonistic film produced by Hollywood at the time, inspired by the counterculture that was on the rise in the late 1960s. The soundtrack is a super hip album, featuring everything from The Byrds' theme song "Child of the Universe" to Steppenwolf's signature song "Magic Carpet Ride," as well as a score by Dave Grusin that's full of a sophisticated 60s mix that can only be heard here!
