The high-performance Contemporary line SIGMA 30mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary incorporates the latest technology to achieve a compact size that is balanced for use with small, lightweight camera bodies with short flange focal lengths. High image quality is prioritized while achieving both compactness and comfortable operability, including a focus group design that ensures smooth autofocus even during video shooting. Cutting-edge technology, such as digital correction of distortion, is incorporated.
High image quality comparable to the Art line. The compact, lightweight, and high-image-quality F1.4 lens construction and power distribution are carefully considered. By effectively utilizing aspherical elements, including double-sided aspherical elements, and high-refractive-index, high-dispersion glass with excellent anomalous partial dispersion, the lens effectively minimizes peripheral illumination falloff and corrects lateral chromatic aberration. Distortion correction utilizes the image correction capabilities of mirrorless cameras, concentrating the optical system's correction capabilities on improving sharpness.
