The high-performance Contemporary line SIGMA 30mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary incorporates the latest technology to achieve a compact size that is balanced for use with small, lightweight camera bodies with short flange focal lengths. High image quality is prioritized while achieving both compactness and comfortable operability, including a focus group design that ensures smooth autofocus even during video shooting. Cutting-edge technology, such as digital correction of distortion, is incorporated.
High image quality comparable to the Art line. The compact, lightweight, and high-image-quality "F1.4" lens construction and power distribution are carefully considered. By effectively utilizing aspherical elements, including double-sided aspherical elements, and high-refractive-index, high-dispersion glass with excellent anomalous partial dispersion, the lens effectively minimizes peripheral illumination falloff and corrects lateral chromatic aberration.
