Delivers stable, high-quality imaging performance across the entire zoom and focus range with a bright, large F2.8 aperture. Mount: Leica Camera L-Mount standard. Focal length: 70-200mm. Maximum aperture: F2.8. Filter diameter: 77mm. Sports line / [7020028DGDNOSSTL] 7020028DGDNOSSTL Released in December 2023
Delivers high-quality imaging performance across the entire zoom and focus range. The latest optical design, incorporating luxurious glass materials including six FLD and two SLD special-low dispersion glass elements, delivers high resolution across the entire zoom range. The lens incorporates three aspherical lenses, now essential for superior optical performance and streamlined lens construction. Leveraging the technical capabilities of SIGMA's Aizu factory, its only production base, the exceptionally high-precision aspherical lenses further improve optical performance. The floating focus system, which is advantageous for improving close-up performance, enables stable, high-quality image creation across the entire focal length range, from the minimum focal length to infinity. The SIGMA 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | Sports features a high-speed AF floating focus system with dual HLA. By moving two focus groups in opposite directions, the amount of focus lens movement is reduced by approximately half. Furthermore, each focus group employs a high-thrust HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) linear motor for high-speed AF. Not only is it fast and accurate, but its control program also ensures quiet operation, allowing for comfortable video recording without worrying about noise. The latest OS2 image stabilization algorithm delivers extremely high image stabilization performance, with 7.5 stops of compensation at the wide-angle end and 5.5 stops at the telephoto end. Two compensation modes are available: Image Stabilization Mode 1, which is suitable for general photography, and Image Stabilization Mode 2, which is ideal for panning shots of motorsports and other scenes. In Mode 2, the camera's dedicated algorithm and intelligent OS for panning effectively compensates for image stabilization, even when the camera is moved up, down, or diagonally, regardless of whether the shot is horizontal or vertical. This allows you to capture the movement of the subject without compromising the effect of panning.
Designed to suppress focus breathing: The lens is designed to suppress focus breathing. Since there is minimal change in the angle of view caused by focus shifts, natural focus shifts can be captured during video shooting.
Designed to minimize flare and ghosting: Flare and ghosting, which degrade image quality, are addressed using cutting-edge simulation technology to address all types of incident light. High backlight resistance ensures clear, sharp images in any lighting conditions.
Packing the highest level of build quality into a highly portable lens body. SIGMA is committed to high build quality in all of its lenses. Among these, the SIGMA 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | Sports, part of the Sports line, not only boasts high weather resistance to withstand even the most challenging shooting environments, but also boasts streamlined optical and mechanical designs, enhanced with cutting-edge materials in all the right places for superior quality and durability, while simultaneously achieving high mobility. This lens is built to be a photographic tool you can rely on for years to come.
Compact and Lightweight, Yet High-Quality and Durability: By streamlining the lens configuration and internal structure through cutting-edge optical and mechanical designs, this lens is significantly smaller and lighter than the previous model, the SIGMA 70-200mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | Sports. The body, including the hood, features a "multi-material structure" that optimally positions materials such as magnesium, CFRP, and TSC. Even with its enhanced mobility, this lens body boasts SIGMA's signature high build quality, including highly durable, reliable rigidity, and various operating rings and switches with a carefully crafted feel.
Inner Zoom Mechanism: The zoom mechanism employs an inner zoom. The overall length remains constant with zoom operation, making it easy to handle for handheld shooting. It also provides high stability when mounted on a gimbal, and is designed to prevent dust and water from entering.
Sports line-style weather resistance: The mount joint, manual ring, zoom ring, custom switches, and other operating switches, as well as the switch panel and exterior joints, feature a dust- and water-resistant construction* to prevent the intrusion of dust and debris. A water-repellent and dirt-resistant coating is applied to the front of the lens, making maintenance easier in the event of water or dust buildup. *This lens is dust- and water-resistant, but not waterproof. When using near water, be careful not to expose the lens to large amounts of water. Water entering the lens may cause serious damage, making it irreparable.
Abundant features to assist professional photography: In addition to an aperture ring, a first for a SIGMA zoom lens, this highly mobile lens body is packed with a wealth of features that make shooting more comfortable and versatile, including a magnesium tripod socket and various switches.
Comprehensive customization features: Equipped with a focus limiter switch. The focus drive range during AF can be limited as needed, enabling quick focusing. The camera is equipped with three AFL buttons that can be assigned to any setting from the camera side, making operation easy regardless of the holding position or setting. For L-mount cameras, using the SIGMA USB DOCK UD-11 allows you to set the operation of your desired OS and focus limiter range to the custom mode switch. [Accessories] - Case - Lens hood (LH860-01) - Tripod mount (TS-151) - Front cap (LCF-77mm III) - Rear cap (LCR II) ■ Specifications ■ Lens construction: 20 elements in 15 groups (6 FLD, 2 SLD, 3 aspherical lenses) Angle of view: 34.3° -12.3° Aperture blades: 11 (circular aperture) Minimum aperture: F22 Minimum focusing distance: 65 (W) - 100 (T) cm Maximum magnification ratio: 1:5.2 (at 200mm focal length) Filter size: φ77mm Maximum diameter x length (L-mount): φ90.6mm x 205.0mm Weight (L-mount): 1345g □ Manufacturer's warranty period: 1 year
