This large-aperture, super-telephoto zoom lens covers a focal range equivalent to 100-400mm at an aperture of F2.8 throughout the entire zoom range. With a 2x teleconverter, it reaches a maximum focal range equivalent to 800mm F5.6. The bright maximum aperture allows for shooting with a high shutter speed and reduced ISO sensitivity, making it ideal for capturing birds and wildlife active in low-light situations such as early morning and dusk.
