It also features drop resistance from 1.6m, dustproof performance equivalent to IP6X (JIS Protection Class 6), cold-resistant construction that allows operation down to -10°C, and a load-bearing structure that can withstand weights of up to 100kgf (kilogram force), making it a tough model for use in harsh outdoor environments. The camera features a back-illuminated CMOS image sensor with excellent sensitivity, low noise, and high-speed image signal readout, as well as a high-performance image processing engine, achieving a maximum ISO sensitivity of 6400 and high-resolution images with approximately 16 effective megapixels. It also features image processing functions that apply "super resolution" technology to produce images with superior resolution and detail. It also features a "Handheld Night Shoot" mode that captures and combines multiple images at once to produce blur-free images even in dark locations. The camera's easy-to-view LCD monitor features an "Outdoor Monitor" function. The monitor features a wide 2.7-inch, approximately 230,000 dots, 16:9 aspect ratio. The AR (Anti-Reflection) coating reduces glare and reflections from external light, ensuring bright, clear viewing even in bright outdoor conditions. The "Outdoor Monitor" function also allows you to easily adjust the brightness to suit your environment, providing even more comfortable viewing. Dedicated Underwater Photography Modes: The "Mermaid" and "Mermaid Movie" modes beautifully reproduce reds, which are often lost underwater, based on image data captured underwater. These modes effectively compensate for the loss of contrast caused by light diffusion, enabling clear images even underwater. Additionally, in "Mermaid" mode, you can select "Flash Off + Forced Flash" for continuous shooting, allowing you to capture two consecutive shots with one shutter release, one with the flash and one without.
The 5x optical zoom lens, starting from a wide 28mm, offers a focal length of 5-25mm (equivalent to approximately 28-140mm in 35mm format), covering a wide range of shooting scenarios, from powerful close-ups as close as 1cm to the subject to expansive landscapes. It also features an "Intelligent Zoom" function that further magnifies the image while maintaining the same image quality as an optical zoom, allowing for ultra-high magnification shooting up to approximately 36x (equivalent to 1008mm in 35mm format), and an "Interval Shooting" function that is convenient for fixed-point observation.
Three types of image stabilization functions to suit various shooting conditions: Electronic image stabilization.
