Despite it age, this little kit is a gem to build and paint/weather/detail. The added feature of the cluster of ground crew cheering the pilot on is a nice touch - with a bit of file work and paint they look fairly well in 1/48th scale. The instructions are clear and simple, the parts fit together well and the decals are pretty good. You can purchase aftermarket pilot figures, decals and cockpit goodies and ordinance if one chooses. I have built three over the last month or so and each is different as I applied various decals and paint patterns. Over all, a very good kit for someone getting back into the hobby, or a younger modeler looking to advance or for an old fossil like me (63) to work on something other than 1/35 Shermans, Tigers and Panthers for a spell.I give this old timer five prop blades.Ironmike

I give 4 out of 5 stars to this kit. The body fit well, no putty is needed. Consider its age, I think the original die is more than 30 years old, the overall quality is remarkable.Two cons: the texture of plastic is fragile--it's an old style dark green plastic, widely adopted in 70s and 80s. And the details for cockpit and engine almost missed.
