Plastic models.
[Scale] 1/700.
This is an unpainted kit that requires assembly and painting.

The scale is 1/700, and the bottom of the ship is not included.

This product uses a conventional (special series) mold.

The light cruiser "Yahagi" was the third Agano-class ship and was completed at the Sasebo Naval Arsenal in December 1943 during the war.

The Agano class was planned as a torpedo squadron flagship, and was characterized by its modern appearance and armament, which set it apart from the previous 5,500-ton class.

The main guns were equipped with three 15cm twin guns and two newly developed 8cm twin anti-aircraft guns.

After completion, Yahagi participated in major battles such as the Battle of the Philippine Sea and the Battle of Leyte Gulf.

In the meantime, anti-aircraft armaments were strengthened.

In April 1945, as part of Operation Tenichigo, a countermeasure against the US military landing in Okinawa, the ship was dispatched as the flagship of the 2nd Torpedo Squadron to escort the battleship Yamato, but was hit by seven torpedoes and over 12 bombs by superior US aircraft carriers and sunk en route to Okinawa.

(Basic specifications).
- Products can be selected from multiple year statuses.
- This is the last appearance of the ship, which was deployed to Okinawa with Yamato in Operation Tenichi-go in April 1945, and was equipped with 28 25mm single machine guns.

After the Battle of the Philippine Sea from the end of June 1944, it was equipped with 18 single 25mm machine guns, and the configuration of the flight deck was not changed.
- The single machine gun was not reinforced during the Battle of the Mariana Islands in June 1944.

(Structure, specifications, features).
- The modern Agano-class shape, which was different from the previous Japanese light cruisers, is faithfully reproduced.
- The hull is designed with left and right split parts.
The portholes have been blocked off and the number of ports has been reduced compared to when the ship was first built, and this has been recreated using special parts.

The exterior electrical wiring that runs around the entire side of the ship is intricately carved, even down to the fasteners.
- On each level of the deck and bridge, the linoleum floor is represented by metal fittings, and the anti-slip strip pattern of the iron deck is expressed with vivid carvings.
- The shelter in front of the bridge is made into a single part using a slide mold.

Intricate carvings and shapes on the side walls.
- The main turret is made using a slide mold to recreate windows, ladders, and steel plate joints on the sides and top.
- The grille at the top of the chimney is removed for a realistic look, and the internal air rectifier is also a separate part.

The chimney is designed as separate left and right parts, and the monkey bars are also precisely carved.

・ The steam exhaust pipes are separate parts to express the difference from sister ships.

・ The triangular pyramid truss at the bottom of the mast is removed using a slide mold.
- The small cranes on both sides of the aft end of the aircraft work deck are accurately reproduced in three.

Dimensions using separate parts.

The 4.5-meter high-angle rangefinder features a cylindrical arm that is precisely shaped and enclosed as a dedicated part.

・ The No. 22 radar, gangway (storage), direction finding antenna, auxiliary wing bay, etc. are all made into separate parts.
・ The 8cm long twin anti-aircraft guns have their shields and barrels made into separate parts and are included as new, dedicated designs.

The seaplane lifting crane has been recreated down to the light holes on the side, enhancing the sense of precision.
- Two Zero (three-seat) seaplanes are included as onboard reconnaissance seaplanes.

The molding color is clear, giving the windshield a realistic finish.

(The standard version is molded in gray.).
Two types of decals are included: one decal for marking the carrier-based floatplane, and one decal for the stern ship name and mast white line.

The PLUS version differs from the standard version in that it comes with the following replacement parts:.
・ 25mm twin machine gun: Precisely sculpted, two-part design that makes it easy to paint, with the 2018 molded parts included as standard.
- Binocular telescope: The bridge air defense command post comes with a binocular telescope part for reconnaissance and surveillance, adding a sense of precision.

・ No. 13 Radar: Newly included parts with sculpted truss structure and antenna shape.

・ 21 Radar: The insulator base for fixing the front element is more delicately carved than the previous accessory parts.

・ The No. 22 radar can be made into an open part by using a slide mold, and it is also possible to make it into an extended trumpet shape.

・ 9-meter cutter: Made into two parts for painting, with separate mounting parts available, and a choice of a one-piece deck mold is possible.

(Excluding some areas) - Chrysanthemum crest: A new chrysanthemum crest has been added to the bow.

・ Sidelight: Newly prepared, for additional expression in parts that were previously omitted.
