TAMIYA 1/35 Military Miniature Series Soviet T-62A Tank. TAMIYAMMT62
[Product introduction]
TAMIYA 1/35 Military Miniature Series Soviet T-62A tank.
[It was a main battle tank that appeared in 1965 and represented the Eastern Bloc countries at the time.]
First announced on May 9, 1965 at the "20th Anniversary Victory over Germany Parade" held in Red Square, Moscow. The Soviet T62 tank was the first in the world to be equipped with a 115mm smoothbore gun, which had a big impact on military personnel in Western countries. Normal tank guns have a rifling (twisted groove) cut inside the barrel, which allows the shell to rotate and stabilize its posture, but smoothbore guns do not have a rifle in their barrels, and use shells with stabilizing wings. I will. The superiority of smoothbore guns and rifle guns cannot be determined, but the T62's main gun uses wing-stabilized armour-piercing shells at a range of 2000m, and can actually shoot through 270mm of armor plate if it hits at a right angle. At that time, the main gun of new European and American tanks was the 105mm rifle, so it attracted attention. The T62 tank is basically a development of the previous type T54/55 tank, with longer body length, changes in the gun mount design due to the installation of a 115mm bone cannon, adoption of a high-output engine, and wheel arrangement. Although there are noticeable differences, their appearance and composition are very similar. Types include the Jinmoto-type T62 and the T62A, which is said to be equipped with an anti-aircraft machine gun and strengthened the main coaxial machine gun, and was used as a main battle tank in the Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Each hatch, including the commander's hatch, can be opened and closed. Metal mesh is incorporated into the louver on the top of the engine room to enhance the sense of precision. Includes 1 Soviet tank crew figure. Reproduces the traditional style of Soviet tanks, such as a low hull designed for bullet resistance and a bowl-shaped cast turret. Metal mesh is used for the grill above the engine compartment at the rear of the vehicle.
