TAMIYA 1/35 American M26 armored tank recovery vehicle. TMM244M26 Kaishiu
[Product introduction]
TAMIYA 1/35 American M26 armored tank recovery vehicle. -During World War II, the M26 armored tank recovery vehicle continued to work to recover and tow tanks that were damaged or broken in battle, and supported the advance and victory of the American tank corps behind the scenes. Mass production of the M26, which is based on the Nucky Truck 6x6 tractor, began in April 1943 by railroad vehicle manufacturer Pacific Car & Foundry. Equipped with an armored cabin, a Hall Scott 440 engine with an output of 240 horsepower, a tandem winch, and an A-arm for recovery work, it was used as the M25 tank carrier Dragon Wagon when combined with an M15 semi-trailer, but it was unable to operate alone. It was possible to recover and tow the destroyed tank. Furthermore, it was equipped with various equipment such as welding machines and was able to perform emergency repairs on tanks on the front lines. The M26 was used in European countries even after World War II, and 20 were provided to the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force. This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the M26 armored tank recovery vehicle, which was used for recovering and towing tanks during World War II. Realistic model of heavy style. The armored cabin is integrally molded using a slide mold, pursuing reliable assembly with a high sense of reality. The bulletproof windows can be opened or closed, and the interior of the cabin is precisely reproduced. The tandem winch and crane also have a three-dimensional finish. Accessory parts such as a vise and a cylinder for welding work with a pressure gauge are also included. The A-arm, which is used for recovery work, can be assembled at five different angles. Metal parts such as photo-etched parts, pipes, and chains are also included to enhance the realism. Plated parts and transparent parts are used for lights. The tires are made of realistic hollow rubber. Includes 6 types of slide marks, 4 figures of 2 types of cabin occupants, and 2 standing figures.
