PIT ROAD 1/700 German Navy Submarine U-Boat XXI type & XXIII type. U-boats XXI and XXIII are submarines that have been in operation since the late war, and were also called electro boats. Until then, submarines had to use separate engines, a diesel engine on the surface and an electric motor underwater, and they spent most of their time surfacing, submerging only when attacking or escaping. It was being done. The XXI type is equipped with a large number of batteries and a newly developed underwater navigation motor, allowing it to operate for long periods underwater and at high speed.
