Product Introduction The Japan Air Self-Defense Force is the third country in the world to be equipped with the Eagle, after the United States Air Force and Israel. The JASDF had been using the F-104J as an interceptor fighter until then, and investigated the FX as a successor to the F-104J. From among many candidates, it was decided to adopt the F-15 on December 9, 1976, and the first aircraft arrived at Gifu Base on March 27, 1981. When the JASDF's F-15J was first introduced, it was basically an aircraft equivalent to the US Air Force's F-15C Block 26, with some modifications unique to the JASDF. The main modifications were the addition of the JASDF's own automatic warning and control system (Badge System) and a high-speed data device (J/ASW-10 data link system) that receives intercept control from the E-2C early warning aircraft, and the change of the antenna at the tip of the vertical tail to a mass balance. Safety Warnings Not applicable
