The product has a motif from the beginning of the Pacific War to the Battle of Midway in June 1945.
The cross-sectional shape of the ship is different from Suzuya/Kumano, and the standard porthole at the start of the war is prepared with special parts.

Bridge / front mast ・The front mast is dedicated to Mogami / Mikuma, and reproduces the difference in height (slightly lower) from Suzuya.
・Reproduces the posture observation station equipped with the Type 92 torpedo launch control device, which was a feature at the beginning of the war.
・The bridge window is made of transparent parts for a more realistic finish.
- The floor of the air defense command post and the Rashinkan bridge express the delicate grating floor with delicate carvings.
・Special parts are used to reproduce the canister air supply ports at the rear of the bridge and on both sides, which only exist in Mogami/Mikuma.
Chimney/Air Supply Vent/Linoleum Deck - The entrance on the deck is designed to reduce complexity by underexpressing only the height direction and avoiding painting the hatch height as much as possible.
・Mogami / Mikuma has a special part that has a thick chimney in the front part with 12 cans and a shape that branches into two.
・The funnel cap is a molded part that is in a “missed” state.
-The steam waste pipe is a separate part and is designed to increase precision, making it a dedicated part for Mogami/Mikuma.
・Mogami/Mikuma has a small air inlet for the can room air inlet under the chimney, and expresses the difference from Suzuya with special parts.
・For the machine gun turret next to the chimney, special parts are prepared to express the unique outline shape of Mogami/Mikuma.
・In the rear of the chimney (under the searchlight), which is a feature of Mogami/Mikuma only, the air supply port is arranged in an inverted V shape.
・The linoleum deck is prepared with special parts because the placement of the vents and equipment is different from Suzuya/Kumano.
High-angle turret/antenna pillar ・The 12.7 cm twin high-angle turret is Mogami/Mikuma exclusive parts, and the back of the seat has a flat shape.
・The antenna struts installed on the canopy of the 3rd/4th main turrets are dedicated parts that reproduce the unique shape of each ship.
Rear mast/rear bridge/crane ・The top of the rear mast is tilted backwards, and Y-shaped Mogami/Mikuma exclusive parts are used.
-The water reconnaissance crane has a slide mold on the side and top to reproduce light holes, and the hook is also expressed with delicate modeling.
・The rear bridge has special parts that reproduce the small and multiple air supply ports on the side, which is a feature only for Mogami/Mikuma.
Shelter deck / aviation work deck ・The shelter part equipped with the torpedo launcher is three-dimensionalized based on the official drawing, including the spare torpedo storage.
- Catapult (Kure type No. 2 type 5) realistically reproduces the side / top modeling with a slide mold
Carrier-based aircraft - The molding color is gray to improve workability (prevent damage during gate cutting)
