Features "HD Coating" for enhanced imaging performance. The lens coating has been completely redesigned to feature the latest high-performance multi-coating, "HD Coating," which reduces average reflectance in the visible light range by approximately 50% compared to conventional multi-coatings. Compared to conventional multi-coatings, this coating offers lower reflection and higher transmittance, effectively suppressing ghosting and flare even under challenging shooting conditions such as backlighting. Furthermore, it uses extra-low dispersion (ED) glass that effectively corrects chromatic aberrations, delivering high-contrast, clear images.

The deposition of a special fluorine-based substance makes it water- and oil-repellent, making it resistant to dirt and easy to remove oily stains such as fingerprints, making it safe for use in outdoor shooting environments.
Other Features: The Quick-Shift Focus System allows you to focus in autofocus mode by holding the shutter button halfway down, and then switch to manual focus without having to switch operations.
