The DB ET425 series commuter train, which is responsible for regional transport within Germany, is an AC electric train that operates as a Regional Express (equivalent to a rapid train in Japan) or S-Bahn in various regions such as Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Hanover, and Berlin.
Between 1999 and 2008, a total of 249 units were introduced with the purpose of replacing the conventional ET420 series and passenger trains.
It uses a four-car articulated design and employs an aluminum body to reduce weight, and can be seen operating in coupled configurations when necessary.
You can enjoy driving alongside Germany's iconic high-speed train, the ICE4, as well as international trains such as Thalys PBKA and various TGV models.
The exterior has been updated to match recent specifications, with the "REGIO" logo removed.
It features a different car number than previous models, and the specifications of each area can be reproduced using stickers.
