The ventilator on the roof of the 2-end side has been replaced with a large, forced-ventilation type to recreate its appearance.

The JRF mark, Kintaro mark, and JR FREIGHT mark are pre-printed.
Number plates "EH500-10, 11, 12, 14" are included as separate parts.
It employs an all-axle current collection and all-axle drive system.
Two cars are connected using a telescopic powered coupler.
Signal flares, whistles, and radio antennas are included as separate parts.
Dummy couplers and automatic TN couplers are included.
It uses a flywheel-equipped motor, gray bogie frames, and silver wheels.
It uses an M-13 motor.
