Takamatsu Kotohira Electric Railway (commonly known as Kotoden) is a railway company operating in the heart of Takamatsu City, with three lines centered around Kawaramachi.
The 1070 series is a modified version of the Keihin Electric Express Railway 600 series, with three sets introduced between 1984 and 1987 as the company's first air-conditioned trains.
Currently, two sets are in service on the Kotohira Line, mainly used for adding extra cars during rush hour.
This model reproduces the 1071-1072 cars, which underwent a general inspection in August 2025 and were restored to their original "Fantango Red" and "Opal White" paint schemes.
By using a separately sold power unit and N gauge running parts, it can be operated as an N gauge model train.
The recommended power unit is TM-06R (18m class A),
the running parts set is TT-04R, and the pantograph is PG16 [0238]
