The Series 14 "Salon Car Naniwa" is a representative European-style passenger car of the Kansai region, born in September 1983, following the "Salon Express Tokyo," which sparked the "Joyful Train" boom.
It features an observation deck reminiscent of the observation car of the former prestigious limited express "Tsubame," and a chic paint scheme.
In 1994, a major renovation was carried out, mainly on the interior, resulting in the removal of the green car mark and a change in the side stripe color from metallic gold to golden yellow.
This model accurately reproduces the appearance after 1994 with the golden yellow stripe.
The car numbers are pre-printed.
The H-rubber is reproduced in black.
All cars have air conditioners and ventilators pre-installed as separate parts.
The underfloor engine of the Surofu 14 is accurately reproduced as a separate part.
The taillights and tail mark of the Surofu 14 are realistically reproduced with white LED lighting.
The tail mark is pre-printed.
The interior light of Surofu 14-703 has been improved to prevent sagging.
A dummy coupler is installed on the observation car side of Surofu 14-704.New current collection system, black wheels adopted.
