The 401 series train, with its high driver's cab, was a popular train on the Joban Line and was affectionately known as the "Red Train".
The JNR 401 series is reproduced in its original livery, with the leading car Kuha 401 being a high-cab type, painted in the original Red No. 13 (rose pink) livery.
The train reproduces details such as the overall length of the lead car and the position of the door cocks, which differ from the 113-0 series.
