In 2011, "dungeons" suddenly appeared all over the world, dramatically changing people's lives.
Countermeasures against dungeons have become an urgent issue in Japan, and the government is revising the Security Business Act.
Dungeon management, which the police and the Self-Defense Forces alone cannot handle, is now entrusted to private security companies.
Wataru Takasaki, a security guard in his 40s who has worked for the local Hiroshima company "Eiko Security" for over a decade, is encouraged to obtain an explorer qualification, partly driven by the current of the times.
Although he was not in the mood, he reluctantly set out to explore, but as a result of accidentally picking up a mysterious fruit, he was given an ability in his status column that does not exist for normal explorers.
With an ability whose purpose and danger are unknown, Kosaka will venture into an unknown realm overrun with dungeons and monsters.
Kosaka is surrounded by a doggy-like junior girl who is cold towards everyone except him, and an idol who approaches him out of nowhere, so his popularity is on the rise!? The original work is by Kei Hinami, who is popular on "Let's Become a Novelist".
The comic adaptation is being handled by Mizusawa Nao, a young author who is currently attracting attention in some circles.
The appeal of the original work, a down-to-earth protagonist and a dungeon world rooted in society, is recreated in manga form with tense action and bold composition.
Volume 1 of the comics includes episodes 1 to 5.
At the climax of volume 1, a mysterious giant dragon attacks the city of Hiroshima! How will Takasaka and his friends survive? This is a story about a man in his 40s who faces the changing times and himself, while sometimes comically interacting with his friends and moving forward.
