The M80 is a dynamic microphone that offers performance comparable to a condenser microphone. Its unidirectional design boasts a wide dynamic range and frequency response. The body design minimizes handling noise, and the diaphragm produces an open, wide tone, ensuring a sound that stands out in the mix without getting lost. The M80's greatest features are its newly designed low-mass voice coil, ultra-thin Mylar diaphragm, and custom output transformer from AMI/TAB-Funkenwerk. This newly designed diaphragm efficiently converts signals into electrical signals without altering the tone lost with previous heavy diaphragms and voice coils. The T80 TELEFUNKEN custom-wound transformer delivers the warmth and presence of classic analog audio. The proximity effect in the low frequencies is well-controlled, making it an excellent microphone for recording vocals, drums, bass, and other sounds.
