■Standalone 4-Deck Playback for Versatile DJ Playstyles. The standalone 4-deck playback feature enhances the quality of song preparation and enables a wide variety of DJ styles. Preloading the next song on the unit alone or leaving a deck free for unexpected requests allows for ample song preparation. You can also assign a favorite deck color to each deck, and the deck color and illumination are synchronized, allowing you to instantly know which deck you're controlling. This ensures reliable musical performance even in professional settings where mistakes are not an option.
■Abundant Media Support for a Variety of DJ Scenes. The USB-C port enables connection to the latest PC/Mac devices. The rear panel features a USB-A port compatible with the USB 3.2 standard, enabling high-speed communication with large-capacity storage devices such as SSDs, and two standard USB-A ports on the top panel for USB storage devices. The unit also features Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling DJ performances using rekordbox CloudDirectPlay (available to Creative and Professional plan subscribers) and rekordbox for iOS/Android (supported in April 2023). Bluetooth audio input is also supported, allowing you to play music from your smartphone. ■The 10.1-inch touch display features an electrostatic touch module for a user interface that lets you quickly and reliably find the music you're looking for from your vast library. This provides smooth operation and improved browsing, with a full range of features that enhance the quality of your music selection, including PLALYLIST BANK, which allows for quick navigation between playlists, TOUCH PREVIEW, which allows for preview playback of songs while browsing, and keyboard search. The newly developed joystick-style SMART ROTARY SELECTOR, which now supports left, right, up, and down push operations, and the surrounding browsing controls allow for intuitive song selection without moving your hands, making it faster and more reliable than ever before to select songs from a massive library. ■ Deck layout for intuitive DJ play and new SMART CUE function The OPUS-QUAD features a deck layout that allows for more intuitive DJ play. Deck displays are located above the left and right decks, with eight HOT CUE buttons directly below them. This allows for smooth DJ play, allowing you to check the track information, parameters, and status of each function on each deck, without having to move your eyes when operating the jog wheel. Furthermore, the newly added SMART CUE function* automatically overwrites the recalled HOT CUE with the CURRENT CUE, allowing for quick and efficient one-touch HOT CUE cueing. * To use the SMART CUE function, you must first enable Overwrite Current Cue with Hot Cue in the UTILITY settings. ■ High-quality sound that creates the perfect atmosphere in any venue. To suit the diversifying DJ scene, we aimed for high-quality sound that is comfortable and easy on the ears, regardless of the type of music. In addition to the system configuration without audio transmission or AD-DA conversion due to its all-in-one DJ system, the MASTER output section is equipped with a high-quality 32-bit D/A converter from ESS Technology, delivering high-quality sound with a calm and gentle tone. It creates the perfect atmosphere in any venue.
■ Effects that enable professional performance with simple operation: The OPUS-QUAD is equipped with BEAT FX to add color to your DJ performances. You can adjust BEAT FX parameters using the touch display, and complete FX BANK and channel selection with just a touch. The XY-PAD allows you to adjust BEAT FX parameters on the X axis and FILTER cutoff frequency on the Y axis, making it easy to operate with just one finger. It also features SMOOTH ECHO, which can automatically apply echo by setting a trigger. Add color to your music with simple operation using the faders or knobs.
■ ZONE OUTPUT: Customizing the Music to Match Each Floor This unit features a ZONE OUTPUT that can output a different sound from the MASTER, allowing you to create different musical performances depending on the floor. For example, by combining it with Bluetooth audio input, you can DJ using USB on the main floor and output background music via Bluetooth from a mobile device to the sub-floor, creating a music production that matches each floor perfectly with just one OPUS-QUAD. Plug-and-play compatibility with DJ software "rekordbox" and "Serato DJ Pro." This unit is compatible with rekordbox's PERFORMANCE mode (Serato DJ Pro support is planned for summer 2023). No paid subscription plan is required. Simply connect the unit to your PC/Mac with a USB cable to instantly enjoy creative DJing with its rich features.
