This product recreates the train's appearance as it was in service on the Kashii Line up until around 2003.
The 500 series body is reproduced without a toilet.
ATS markings, end markings, affiliation markings, and various JR Kyushu markings on the front and sides are printed.
Front and side destination type indications, door stickers, and overhead line warnings are attached using the included stickers (newly produced).
Car numbers can be selected from the included car marks.
The front through-cover is user-installed.
The train radio antenna and signal flares are depicted as a single sculpture.
The headlights (warm white) and taillights (red) light up.
The bogies and underfloor equipment are reproduced in black-gray.
Equipped with a coreless motor power unit with a flywheel.
