It reproduces the later model without some jumper plugs, roof-mounted exhaust vents, and electric heating indicator lights.
Licensed for commercialization by JR East.

The rooftop monitor is reproduced in black.
The H-rubbers are reproduced in black.
The headlights are equipped with a constant-on circuit board and an ON-OFF switch.
Headmarks include "Hokuriku, Akebono, Ueno Station 140th Anniversary, Niigata Station 120th Anniversary.
" The license plates are included as separate parts (EF64-1051, 1052, 1053).
Signal flares, whistles, and train radio antennas are included as separate parts.
The front handrail (vertical) is included as a separate part.
The release lever is pre-installed as a separate part.
