Choose from one of the four types. Channel B uses cascaded J-FETs to recreate the characteristics of a tube amplifier. In addition to standard gain and level controls, it also features two resonant filters, similar to those found on synthesizers. The low-pass and high-pass filters each have their own resonance controls, allowing for creative sounds like screaming, howling, and even wah. These four sound-shaping devices—gain, level, high-pass, and low-pass filters—are collectively called "sides." Channel B features two completely independent, identical sides, allowing you to create completely different sounds and instantly switch between them. Furthermore, these two sides can be morphed, blended, and crossfaded with LFOs and envelope followers, creating tremolo, auto-wah, and other unique sounds not found in other drive pedals. You can save up to 36 original patches (settings) and recall them with a touch of the panel or a footswitch. Most of the Flat V's parameters are centralized on the control panel, but all parameters can be assigned to MIDI control changes, allowing you to connect a PC or sequencer to create dreamy sounds such as modulated overdrive and distortion.
