Like traditional vacuum tubes, Nutube operates as a complete triode, consisting of an anode, grid, and filament. The OD-S, which can also be powered by batteries, delivers a realistic vacuum tube sound. Diverse Tonal Possibilities: The OD-S features two gain knobs: GAIN, which adjusts the input level to the vacuum tube, and TUBE GAIN, which changes distortion by adjusting the anode load of the vacuum tube circuit. This allows you to tailor the vacuum tube tone to your liking. The OD-S also features a switch to select between full-range and mid-range overdrive, as well as true bypass, making it a fully functional effect pedal fully capable of handling live performances. A circuit diagram is also included for advanced users who want to customize the tone to their liking.
