The RED model was inspired by a late-model Rams Head amplifier using Motorola's 2N5087. While essentially a Vintage clone, it features a high-pitched, distortion-like sound. It's well-suited to alternative, garage, rock, and metal styles, and boasts a superb muff sound while remaining unobtrusive and easy to use. This is truly a classic Rams Head amplifier. We once again commissioned the illustrations from Hikari Matsuda, creating a design that combines cuteness with a cool aesthetic. The housing features a stainless steel hairline finish and a leatherette upholstery, further emphasizing the amplifier's distinctive character. Additionally, additional controls have been added: a gate control and a tone shift switch are located on the jack side of the housing. Feature 2 Gate, as its name suggests, adds a gate-like (crackling) feel to the sound, transforming it into a more fuzz-like sound. This control also allows you to create a thicker sound or an edgier attack. ToneShift expands the tonal range of each model, allowing for a wider range of uses. While many muff pedals feature ToneBypass, this one doesn't bypass the tone; instead, it adds a thicker, juicier midrange and a wall of bass while retaining the tone! Combined with Gain, it can also handle overdrive-type sounds, making it a versatile pedal that's more than just a muff!
