Description (3,290 characters)
The Foxcatcher is a versatile drive pedal inspired by the classic Bluesbreaker and developed after six months of trial and error. The Bluesbreaker is famously used by Eric Clapton, and the Bluesbreaker MK1 (1992), one of Marshall's early pedals, captured that sound in a pedal-type effect. Its low gain allows it to retain the clarity of the original tone, while its thick, mild sound remains enduringly popular. The reissued Bluesbreaker II (BB-2) has recently garnered renewed attention after being used by John Mayer. The Foxcatcher is equipped with the following special features to further enhance the performance of the original. ■ NATURE presence control ■ Output buffer ■ FIRST switch selects BOOST (clean/boost) position ■ Wide headroom thanks to Burr Brown op-amps ■ True bypass A versatile drive pedal perfected after six months of trial and error. Features: Inspired by the legendary Bluesbreaker, the Foxcatcher is a versatile drive pedal perfected after six months of trial and error. The Bluesbreaker amp of the same name was famously used by Eric Clapton, and Marshall's first pedal, the Bluesbreaker MK1 (1992), captured that sound in a pedal-type effect. Its low gain allows it to retain the clarity of the original sound, while its thick, mild sound remains enduringly popular. The reissued Bluesbreaker II (BB-2) has recently been the subject of renewed attention after being used by John Mayer. The Foxcatcher is equipped with the following special features to further enhance the performance of the original: ■ NATURE Presence Control ■ Output Buffer ■ FIRST Switch for BOOST (Clean Boost) Position ■ Wide Headroom with Burr Brown Op-Amps ■ True Bypass Special Features ■ NATURE Presence Control As an added feature over the original, the Foxcatcher features a NATURE control for adjusting presence. Higher settings produce a more defined sound. We recommend using DRIVE and TONE to create the basic sound, and then using NATURE to achieve the final balance. ■ Output Buffer An output buffer has been added. The buffer operates when the effect is turned on. ■ Selecting the BOOST (clean boost) position with the FIRST switch The FIRST switch allows you to select the position (before/after) of the BOOST (clean boost) section in the drive circuit. Our GRAVITY BOMB (BOOST & BUFFER) circuit is used for the boost. Placing it before the drive circuit adds gain when boosting, while placing it after the drive circuit adds volume. ■ Wide headroom thanks to a Burr Brown op amp The use of an audio-grade op amp made by Burr Brown enables operation at 18V. Operating at 18V provides a clearer sound with wider headroom. ■ True bypass The BYPASS switch is a mechanical switch, and when bypassed, it becomes true bypass.

*Using it at 18V will provide more headroom and a clearer sound. If you plan to use it all the time, we recommend using it at 18V.
*Power
-If using a distributor, we recommend using one with an isolated circuit. Non-isolated ones or daisy-chain connections may cause noise.
