TURBO I delivers a rich, low-midrange sound. It delivers thick distortion even with single-coil pickups. The wide distortion range covers a wide range, from a subtle crunch to deeply distorted high gain. The active Tone knob has a low operating frequency, allowing you to handle sounds ranging from heavy and dark to edgy and bright. TURBO II - Powerful Mid-Boost. TURBO II delivers a distinctive mid-boosted character. At the center Tone setting, it delivers a rich midrange and a viscous tone ideal for lead guitar. Turn the TONE and DIST knobs to their maximum settings to experience a stunning high-gain sound. Connecting a separately sold footswitch, such as the FS-5, to the REMOTE jack lets you switch between TURBO modes with your foot while you play. When used in conjunction with the ES series Effects Switching System or the MS-3, you can even control the two modes in conjunction with patches. The DS-2's meticulous circuit design combines wildness with subtlety. Its discreet circuit design delivers hard distortion while remaining sensitive to picking strength and guitar volume, allowing for richly expressive playing. By eliminating the use of op-amps, noise is kept to a minimum, even at high-gain settings.
