The TranZformer LLX combines api's unique EQ and boost (preamp) circuitry in a compact pedal-sized effect. Designed to fit easily on a pedalboard and operate on a standard 9V (up to 18V) power supply, it's tuned for bass and offers +/-15dB boost or cut at three frequencies (100Hz, 400Hz, and 2kHz). The 2kHz frequency can also be switched between peak and shelving, a feature typical of rack-mounted pedals. The gain stage can also be switched from "CLEAN BOOST" to "OVER DRIVE" mode. "CLEAN BOOST" provides a crystal-clear boost, while "OVER DRIVE" drives the input op-amp for a unique "api drive tone." It also features a -20dB pad, allowing you to adjust the balance between drive and output depending on the input signal level.
