Inspired by the beautiful sound of the Ampeg B-15 tube bass amplifier, the REDDI-V2 is powered by a 6N1-P vacuum tube, feeding its signal directly into a large, custom-made output transformer from Cinemag. The REDDI-V2's extremely wide frequency range (20Hz - 60kHz) prevents phase shift within the frequency range. Maintaining a linear response below the audible sub-range, it prevents low-frequency phase shift and ensures a rich, natural sound. The distinctive red steel chassis features two Neutrik XLR + 1/4" combo input jacks on the front, two balanced XLR outputs, and two 1/4" through-puts for sending signals to a bass amplifier. Ideal for live performances, the REDDI-V2 is also useful in the studio for simultaneously recording a direct output and a miked amp track. Other features on the front panel include a 0-16dB level control and a red power LED. The rear panel features a durable toggle switch for ground lift and an IEC power connector. Tube Direct Box with Extremely Wide Frequency Range. The A Designs REDDI is used in incredible numbers on stages and in studios around the world. There's simply no better-sounding way to convert instrument and line-level signals to XLR than using a REDDI. Now, that same tone is available in a dual-mono, 2RU rackmount version. Designed with the assistance of leading studio engineers and bass players, the REDDI-V2 is widely praised by engineers and musicians worldwide as the best-sounding DI solution available today. It's important to note that the REDDI-V2 is not a high-gain device. Its gain structure has been carefully designed to ensure no compromises in sound quality are tolerated.
