The LVL is the perfect low-gain drive pedal, expressing the sound that creator Matthew Hoopes himself pursues as a professional guitarist. Turning the LVL knob naturally boosts harmonic content thanks to the unique circuit design, while also subtly pushing the midrange of the guitar sound. With excellent response to dynamics, the LVL's sound maintains a clear, defined tone without becoming overpowered. Introducing a sleek low-gain drive pedal, featuring the sophisticated design characteristic of 1981 Inventions. This professional low-gain driver delivers a clear, defined tone. Developed in collaboration with EAE founder John Snyder. Turning the LVL knob naturally boosts harmonic content thanks to the unique circuit design, while also subtly pushing the midrange of the guitar sound. The LVL's sound responds well to dynamics and maintains a clear, unmistakable tone. Introducing a lustrous low-gain drive pedal featuring the sophisticated design characteristic of 1981 Inventions. LVL IS IMPORTANT: The LVL was created to express Matthew Hoopes's ideal low-gain sound. It took four years of development and collaboration with EAE (Electronic Audio Experiments), known for their lyrical sensibility and solid design. Described as a "non-transparent overdrive," the LVL employs a light clipping circuit and op-amp boost. Turning the LVL knob adds an elegant flavor to the midrange while naturally emphasizing the guitar's inherent harmonics, ensuring it never gets lost in any sound. It responds well to the dynamics of your playing, and an 18V power input allows for expanded headroom. Switchable between true and buffered bypass, the VOL knob provides a clean boost in volume, allowing you to create your ideal low-gain stage. Like the DRV, all manufacturing and wiring is done in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Each unit is assembled to a PCB with through-hole components in the old-fashioned style, tested by Matthew himself, and hand-numbered. The LVL's two-knob control and compact design, reflecting the simple design philosophy of 1981 Inventions, are also part of its appeal. CONTROL ・LVL (LEVEL) LVL is a gain control. As the gain increases, the low end is reduced and harmonic content is emphasized. ・VOL (VOLUME) VOL is the master volume. You can increase the volume to drive your amp or adjust the volume balance with the gain. ・INTERNAL SWITCH Open the back cover to access the internal toggle switch that switches between true and buffered bypass.・A 9-18V AC adapter (50mA or more, center negative) can be used. We recommend using an isolated power supply. ■Product Code: 4560482830053
