86 Trueno full aero specification The AE86 Trueno, which appeared in May 1983, dared to adopt a FR layout at a time when FF was the norm, and the engine was also changed from the previous 2T-G to the newly developed 4A-G.
Along with its sister car, the Levin, it came in two body variations: a 3-door hatchback and a 2-door coupe.
The model name changed depending on the engine, with the 4A-G equipped car being called the AE86 and the 1500cc 3A-U equipped car being called the AE85, and its popularity continues to this day.
