Introduction The original members of The Natasha Seven, Tomoya Takaishi, Shogo Sakaniwa, and Takasuke Kida, have already passed away.
This album was created from the desire of Junji Shirota, the only remaining member of the band, to create an album dedicated to his band members.
Tribute to The Natarsher Seven: Records show it began on January 18, 1971.
Meeting Tomoya Takaishi
I don't remember much about what we talked about, but we played and talked all night... and it all finally started with, "Are you free?"
Later, I invited a fellow mandolinist from my hometown, Takahiro Kaneumi, to join us.
Shortly after, after Kaneumi left the band, Shogo Sakaba, who had been friends with the band since he first entered Kyoto Sangyo University, joined, and the band's first golden age began.
Incidentally, Nobuhiko Hatada and Shogo Sakaniwa, who were exhausted from the climax, had just decided to return to university.
Basically, the sound of these three members is what The Natasha Seven is all about, but Takasuke Kida, who joined later, had a huge influence on the band.
The expansion of their sound can undoubtedly be called the second golden age.
This album is dedicated to Tomoya Takaishi, who was always open to a wide range of music in order to realize this rare group; Shogo Sakaniwa, a swing boy who knew each other's hearts without a word since his university days; Takasuke Kida, who was our greatest understanding friend and a true musician; and everyone who supported us and The Natasha Seven with all their heart and soul, and to all of you who loved us so much.
You might be part of The Natasha Seven.
