Description (997 characters)
This hanging scroll depicts Kishimojin, a side Buddha of the Nichiren sect. Kishimojin is the deity of safe childbirth and child-rearing, and is usually enshrined on the left side of the top shelf of the Buddhist altar. (Note: The left and right sides may be reversed.) The subdued, chic image and mounting blend in with any Buddhist altar design. It offers a unique charm that is different from hanging scrolls with more ornate mountings. Manufactured in Gifu Prefecture, a major hanging scroll production area. *Hanging scroll stand sold separately* [Material] Paper; Country of Origin: Japan [Product Dimensions] Height (excluding upper string): 20.8 cm; Shaft width (bottom rod): 10.7 cm; Scroll width: 8.3 cm [Handling Precautions/Care Instructions] Gently dust off with a soft-bristled brush or brush, or a soft, dry cloth. Using a wet cloth may cause discoloration in moist areas. Also, please handle with care, avoiding folding or rolling the scroll (this will leave creases and wrinkles).
