This hanging scroll features an original Hasegawa design, depicting the side Buddha of the Soto Zen sect, Master Jozai. Master Jozai is the founder of the Soto Zen sect's Sojiji temple, the Zen master Taisho Keizan, and is usually hung on the left side of the upper shelf of the Buddhist altar. The vivid silkscreened image is mounted by hand in multiple layers of fabric.
